Meet our cat and dog sitters

Jack & Fallon Shelford

As Managers of Pyes Pa Pet Lodge, Jack and Fallon are eager to bring to life our company Vision “To be the Bay of Plenty's most loved Pet Lodge - by humans and pets alike!”.  They love nothing more than seeing your pets go home healthy and happy.

Their background includes 7 years of farm management with a proud record of impeccable animal welfare, business administration, people management skills and undeniable passion for animals.  These attributes are invaluable to ensure that all of the team’s hard work at PPPL aligns with our mission and ethos.

Fallon has worked at PPPL in 2018-2019 and now with partner Jack and their three wonderful children are looking forward to meeting you and making our Pet Lodge your pets home away from home.

Jazz Leat (Duty Manager)

Since joining the team here at the Lodge I have found my home away from home - working alongside our amazing team where every day is different.

After deciding to change my career path entirely, I gained my formal qualifications in Animal Care, and was lucky enough to secure a position here at the Lodge.

Although my role splits my time between the office and the practical side, I always make time for all our guests and make sure they get 5 star treatment when they stay with us - whether they are boarding or just here for the day.

"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened" - Anatole France

Jasmine McKenzie

Jasmine recently moved to Tauranga and as much as she likes it here she says she loves being part of the team at the Lodge.

Having recently studied Vet Nursing at Toi Ohomai, Jasmine can put her new skills into practise.   She's living the dream of her passion being work!

When not loving the pets at Pyes Pa Pet Lodge, she is loving her purrfect cat Ace!

Alissa Edlinger

Kia Ora, I'm Alissa and I'm crazy about animals! I will care for and love your fur-baby like my own...

I am always prepared with pats, cuddles and snuggles to keep your pets company while you're away for a day or a long stay. I'm truly devoted to delivering the best care for your special friend.

I grew up  with our 4 rescue horses, 2 dogs and a sassy cat (she's 16 and still going strong). I enjoyed my days riding our horses, helping the local farmer and of course hitting the beach!

Outside of Pyes Pye Pet Lodge, I volunteer in the community. My two passions in life are animal welfare and emergency response. I'm a Senior Surf Lifeguard and Instructor with SLSNZ. I also look after 4 rescue foals for RRR (Rescue, Revive, Rehome), volunteer at the SPCA helping out with the canines and have my very own foster doggo, Aldo.

I'm always happy to see you and your fur-baby, so come on in and and say hello!
