Meet our cat and dog sitters

Jack & Fallon Shelford

As Managers of Pyes Pa Pet Lodge, Jack and Fallon are eager to bring to life our company Vision “To be the Bay of Plenty's most loved Pet Lodge - by humans and pets alike!”.  They love nothing more than seeing your pets go home healthy and happy.

Their background includes 7 years of farm management with a proud record of impeccable animal welfare, business administration, people management skills and undeniable passion for animals.  These attributes are invaluable to ensure that all of the team’s hard work at PPPL aligns with our mission and ethos.

Fallon has worked at PPPL in 2018-2019 and now with husband Jack and their three wonderful children are looking forward to meeting you and making our Pet Lodge your pets home away from home.

Steph Mander

Steph is Jack & Fallon's right hand lady providing relief when they need a well earned break.  Steph has a deep love of animals volunteering for local Animal Rescue RRR (Rescue, Revive, Rehome) and volunteering at RDA exemplify's this.

Steph came to us with academic training in animal care and first hand knowledge of running a Kennels in Christchurch. She finds it heart warming seeing the love and care you all have for your own pets, and is looking forward to sharing this love and care for your pets while they stay with us.

Steph has her own pet rabbit Boogle and cat Ninja, and fosters puppies regularly who stay with her until they find there own loving forever home. She also spends time with and rides a horse she leases, Newman.

Olivia Philpot

Olivia lives just up the road on a lifestyle block and is studying a Vet Nursing Certificate. Now working with animals at PPPL she has grown to love the industry so much she is keen to make a career in the animal industry.

We would love to help her with her goals and know with her passion we will see you pets in great care.

Debbie Moore

Having spent an eternity in corporate life, moving to Tauranga handed Debbie an opportunity to follow a love and admiration for animals. Debbie started down the new path by getting a certificate in Animal Care and is now studying for her Veterinary Nursing diploma through Otago Polytechnic.

After following the Pyes Pa Pet Lodge family on Facebook, Debbie says – “I am so excited to be a part of a wonderful team who welcome each and every animal that comes to visit. As a casual kennel hand, I love interacting with the furry residents of the lodge and consider myself so fortunate to have a job where I can develop my passion for animal husbandry and that I genuinely love.”

The Rest of the Team

Ben Rowlands

Is a fine young man known by Jack and Fallon for many years.  He came in a keen cat lover and has been taught the PPPL ways and is now sharing the love with the dogs - it's been great seeing him grow into the role.

Owners Sarah & Neil Cudby

Are the current proud owners of an establishment that has been providing pet boarding for over 56 years - so one of our current clients tells us, he used to live up the back and now brings in his dog.  We have enjoyed taking what is great about all who have come before us, adding what we can and working with Jack and Fallon to provide a great service to the greater Tauranga community.
